I don't get what they are trying for with this and other recent products. Most people want great playing guitars and the freedom to plug in different pedals to get sounds out of their amps. I don't recall anyone ever saying to me "you know what would be great, a built in chorus effect" when playing a new guitar. Focus on the quality of guitars, not the gizmo factor. People don't want the gizmos.

I think in an attempt to be "innovative and a industry leader" they keep answering a question no one asked.

IMO, they're trying to compete with Line6. but since they're Gibson and refuse to acknowledge that other manufacturers actually exist, they won't go with guitar models in their instrument. that leaves them with effects. so the execution becomes something more like Electra guitars from the 70s and 80s.
 
This needs to be reenacted with that guitar.
