If the MTA isn't running then I'm staying home again Tuesday.
I dont know man...this one looks real:
When I was at the bank I saw a roll of clips on the news of stupid stuff the weather news folks people are doing. Getting caught in waves and stuff. Those guys should go home, or report from some place where a fireman or other emergency worker doesn't have to waste time and risk rescuing their asses.
What is the Lollipop Guild and why are their representatives at my front door?

and i just got an email saying we're officially "open for business". the only thing i can think of is that this is the company's way of making us take personal time so people don't get more days off than they're due. i'd say it's a dick move, but between sick, personal, and vacation days i have 30 days off per year. the only thing i'm going to be pissed about is if they dock me because i'm still in my probationary period. regardless, i'm not going in if MTA isn't running. which i'm guessing they're not.

Yeah, thats pretty crappy. Say you are open for business when none of the public transportation is running.
Give me an email address to send a scathing email to.
they'll pay for cab fare, but good luck finding a cab or a car service that's open. IMO, it's a huge waste of funds.
Just saw an FB post of a tweet from IndianaWeatherOnline that all subway lines in NYC are confirmed flooded and are expected to be closed for at least a week.
as of his press conference two hours ago, Bloomberg was aiming for Wednesday. I haven't seen anything from City sources that say otherwise.
ok, now MTA says 4 feet of water in the subways. but nothing about a week outage yet.
