You don't deserve koa.
I thought it was the weakest of this trilogy. Better than all of the prequels. Weaker than all of the originals.
I’m with micwalt and Sunvalleylaw on this one. I had a good time, my family had a good time and because it’s a Star Wars movie it is not going to be The Godfather II. And no stupid casino heist or Ewoks (in any great number) in this one, either.Well, I loved it. It has everything a Star Wars movie is supposed to have. I can just sit back, pretend I'm a kid, and just get into it.
I agree with the criticisms, AND I still enjoyed the movie. I think I agree with your ranking in post 81. But I still had fun, and likely will see it again. I also liked the girl power aspect. We (my family) are about halfway through The Mandalorian, and we’re enjoying it more than The Rise of Skywalker.
Each movie in the OT had space and time to breathe and relax and take in the surroundings and scenery, enjoy the music, watch characters interact with one another calmly, etc.
I’d say the same thing about some of the better Marvel movies, and I’d cite it as a reason for their success.
Jumping from planet to planet, set-piece to set-piece, etc., every 10-20 minutes, with no room to breathe? That’s just exhausting, and it feels like high-budget fan fiction with minimal (or worse, forced) character development.
And no ..... Ewoks (in any great number) in this one, either.

My wife and daughter went to that the day before and loved it. My daughter was so girl-powered up she came home and watched "Hidden Figures" right after. That’s been present since Disney bought it. I think it’d be difficult to argue that it’s a more central theme here. Anyway. We need a spoiler-friendly thread.
Btw, I saw Little Women. Better movie, more girl power.

This will be purchased (like Hidden Figures) when it comes out on DVD.Wonderful. Now you have to take your son.
I think there were only about 3-4 men from an audience of about 100. Not as bad as when I went to see The Fault In Our Stars, but this is a much better movie.
Technically, it's speciesist.![]()
You said to comb the desert so we’re combing it.Why do you always have to be so fucking literal?
