Maybe she just wanted to tour with someone closer to her own age. I'd think playing with AC would be more fun though, given her style.

I would have proposed Sophie Lloyd, but I guess she just joined Machine Gun Kelly's band.

Oh.... shit the bed....

I have never heard this before.....

Gaht Damn. That's some fookin' saaanging....

And according to the comments.... this performance was 4 days before a hospitalization for a drug overdose.

She jump ship to play with a junkie? Damn I hope not.

That was a couple years ago, and [they] have been very open about recovery, staying sober, exploring their sexuality, and being true to themselves. (According to the couple articles and interviews I perused.

Knowing that Nina is also into motivational speaking, eating healthy, and working out… wouldn’t surprise me if one of those connections was a deciding factor.

I hope it’s something really positive like that and I hope they come out with a kick ass record.

I just saw the announcement that Kane Roberts will be filling in for the rest of the shows, at least thru October.

He played for Alice Cooper when, the late 80s - early 90s ?

@Jbird I forgot that Kane Roberts looks like he’s been training to be in a He Man and the Masters of the Universe movie…

…or wants to be battling George Lynch in a heavy metal guitar video.

That dude was obviously on gear in the 80s, must have stopped in the 90s & went way down in mass, now back on the gear in his 60s. It’s a weird look at that age, IMO

The few times I've looked on social media to read about this have been horrendous. Fucking tools don't understand that Nita was an employee of Alice Cooper and while it was a great opportunity for her, moving to this new gig is just like an IT person moving from one job to another that has better benefits, and more career viability. The other guitarist (Heather Baker) is someone that I knew many years ago and she has been having a great career being a side person for a number of big female artists who seem to prefer having all female bands. She is not locked into any one style and has the industry connections and visibility to be shortlisted for most high profile gigs of this type. If Nita Strauss stayed with Alice Cooper, the man is in his 70's and I can't imagine will be touring much longer and her visibility will be an aging and shrinking segment of the industry. She'll be pigeonholed as a metal guitarist in a world that doesn't need as many metal guitarists as it used to. The woman made (in my eyes) a very sound career move, did not burn any bridges that we can see and will probably be working for as long as she actually wants to. The misogyny and bigotry that the typical rock fan displays when challenged with anything outside of their small frames of artistic reference is disgusting. When Nuno Bettancourt toured with Rhianna, he didn't get nearly this level of shit from fans.

Here here! The level of scrutiny a woman player gets is incredible. If you do well, it's because you got a free ride because of your gender. If you don't, well, you're a girl. It's fucking terrible. Sorry *rant off*.

Deep breath.
