I like that. One of my favorite looks on a Tele is white, black guard and maple neck.

That's cool, but the black guard would have been a deal-killer for me.

It's a cool look, but not what I was looking for. I was so happy to find the all-white model. I have a cool strap coming in for it, as well. The Classic 50's Tele, which is what this one started out as, comes stock with a white guard. I changed it to black.
I want that in Lake Placid Blue and tort with a roasted maple neck.
Just wait....I want that in Lake Placid Blue and tort with a roasted maple neck.
I gave that up back in the 80s.Bound to happen....Gary ran out of weed.
But it's in vogue now.I gave that up back in the 80s.
I am not a slave to fad and fashion! But it's in vogue now.
As I said, I didn't know the difference back then. I have had two Strats and just don't like the sound, so the White Tele fits my faulty memory and my tastes. (Grin)The white-on-white guitar George played at the Concert for Bangla Desh was a Strat, not a Tele.
I understand the appeal though, it's why I got my white-on-white Strat too.
You made the right choice. As I said, I didn't know the difference back then. I have had two Strats and just don't like the sound, so the White Tele fits my faulty memory and my tastes. (Grin)
I feel it is the right choice for me.You made the right choice.
