Looking for a new delay

I appreciate the input. Out of my depth here. Do you mind explaining why?

edit: it’s a 2 plus. Don’t know if that changes things

The PP2+ has 8 outputs. 6 of them can give 100 ma, 2 of them can give 250 ma.

Ma = milliamp, that's how much power a pedal needs.

VDL makes cables so you can use two outputs for one pedal. If you need 18 volts, you can use 2 9 volt outputs with this.

They also make one that doubles the amps. Which is what the Audio Bloom would need because, it requires 300 ma. But, you are loosing your 2 high current outputs to do that. Maybe you could use one of the high current and one of the normal, 250+100=350. I honesty don't know if you can do that or not. I wouldn't, "not because i know better but, now I'm out of my depth so, better safe than sorry".

I don't think you need a different power supply. I would just use the adapter that came with the Audio Bloom and plug it into the outlet on the back of the PP2+.

I'm more confused with the Grail. I know they call a car battery 12 volts but, it's really 13.8 volts.

I feel myself slipping into the pedal loop of one purchase requiring another.

Those can happen but they're temporary. It seems your power supply simply isn't the right one for you. So get one with more output that can handle your board but isn't too big or expensive, and be done with it.

The pedal power 2 has an power outlet on it, why not just plug the adapter from the Bloom into that, use one of the 250 for the El Cap and if the Holy Grail wont' run off a 100 tap, use the other 250 for that?

this thread got me back on the wagon...went down the Reverb rabbit hole and looked at all the fancy delays. watched a lot of vids. walked downstairs and played my Deco/Park Theatre and was quite happy. unwatched everything and now I'm back to content.

carry on.

The Grail also says it's 9.6 volts.

Does anybody else have one, been running it on 9 volts, never had a problem?

This is a loop we were tinkering around with this afternoon. Not exactly ambient yet, but hopefully we’ll start getting there Thursday when el Cap shows up :jam:

Didn’t read the posts here but I’m sure there are tons of great suggestions. The Strymon El Capistan is tough to beat and covers a ton of ground.

If you are more focused on short delays like slap back and artificial tape doubling, the Strymon Deco is worth a look. I absolutely love this pedal and the tape saturation is a beautiful thing.

The source audio nemesis is also worth investigating as it covers a ton of ground very well.

El cap is on the way.
