Lick of the Week - Up the Down 6th Chord (with contest!)

I've been playing around with it too and I'm finding that I'm slowing things down and taking some of the swing out of it and finding some interesting things...

If I string something together that sounds decent, I'll post it. It will just be audio though - through my iRig and iPod with Amplitube.. and with my goofy travel guitar.

As a matter of fact, I kinda don't have anything to do for the rest of the day... :ep:

I was beginning to think no one was going to send a vid....

This weeks like is processing at the moment. Hopefully have it up in a couple of hours...

I was trying, but some stuff intervened. I will still master the lick and send in a vid when I can, but won't be by deadline. Different thread will explain.

Crap, I forgot it was today for the deadline. I deleted mine 'cause I wanted to come up with something cooler.

Yes, but I need to find some more examples to expand my vocabulary a little. Probably more accurately, to expand my vocabulary farther away from my same old same old.

I actually tried my webcam, but it sucked... However, I've been obsessing over this for the last week, and have a whole bunch of new riffs based on it...

Mark, I really got into this lesson. And with our short lesson in class last week something really clicked. My brother's been on my back about practicing arpeggios and he's given me exercises to do. I've noticed with this lesson that my solos are already a LOT more melodic. I didn't submit anything because.... it's like the more you know, the more you know what you don't know. I didn't think I could compete with the talent here.

I'm glad that it's working for you! Sometimes it's more a matter of having someone give you a more digestible bit to work with than "learn arpeggios".

OK, This morning, I will go ahead and make a sound clip of my riffs, since that is easy for me, and if anyone actually really wants a video, then later on I can get my wife to record me playing it... Then, if anyone still cares, I'll TAB it out...

I've been trying to get this recorded for the last freakin couple hours, and I keep screwing up, even though I had it no problem before... My frustration is at the point of wanting to throw my guitar, so I'm going to go to work, now, and try this later...

Don't make it "un fun". Come back to it later...I end up needing to do that on an almost daily basis with some things.
