When my kids were selling girl scout cookies (admittedly several years ago), the troop got 23 cents per box sold. That number went to 25 cents if they sold several hundred boxes. IIRC, the cookies sold for about $3.50 then.

Ever since then, I have refused to buy girl scout cookies.

I think they lowered it from 25 cents which was where the issue started. Most of my daughter's troop doesn't sell them and I think the ones who did only had family who wanted cookies buy them.

Girl Scout cookies used to be delicious and worth waiting for. Nowadays, for most varieties the box is infinitely more edible...

I like 'em. They're a local chain that started at the University of MD. They've grown to cover most of the state, and I believe have some locations in DC and Northern VA (@Chad can verify that).

Had no idea they started in MD. I like it. There was a pizza joint in my home town, Pizza Fair. I think my family and family friends kept them in business for the last few years of their existence, it was the hot spot for high school kids when my folks were in high school. Ledo's crust is the closest thing to Pizza Fair's. The sauce isn't anywhere close but it's the closest thing we can find to it. When we get pizza with my folks, it's usually from Ledo.

Unless you go to Ledo's pizza. At least then it's rectangular pizza in rectangular boxes, cut into squares. Folks outside of DC/VA/MD probably have no idea about Ledo's.

Chicago style thin crust pizza is always cut into squares.
