A good Les Paul is a great thing. A mediocre or worse one is an overpriced piece of junk.

This is a turn-off.
Got a new guy, comes here, says he doesn't want to get into it, and people just pile on.
I don't see where that makes anyone "better" than anyone else, to be honest.
As for Jim Soloway, I don't know the guy. Know him by reputation, but at least you could have heard the guy out before you jumped down his throat.

i've known Jim for 10 years. you won't meet a nicer guy. If Mr. Hat was banned from HC for something regarding Jim, well, he should have left it at HC. this forum has it's own culture and doesn't need shit flying back and forth.
as for my NYC attitude, people put that on me. i'm from NYC, i must have an attitude. and if that's how you're going to view me, then you're the one with the problem. i don't give a shit.

If this is how the collective "we" treat new members, wtf do I want to be a part of this for?
I thought this forum was about learning and practicing and discussing playing guitar and guitars.
It's not my forum, but a STAGNANT forum in terms of membership is nothing more than an exclusive "Boy's Club".
I'm not pissing on anyone, about anything, for any reason...........I just think (again, the collective) "we" should keep an open mind about new folks.......maybe they have something to offer.
As for me and Howie, we've taken it offline before, will probably do so again, and whatever.......
He is a bit of the forum "troll", whether he wants to admit it or not.
We all like to play guitar, or we wouldn't be here, I would think.
Not trying to start shit, end shit, mix up shit, or have anything to do with shit. But we treated the newbie like shit, and that makes me kind of sad, actually. No benefit of the doubt, no nothing. Just an ass-slamming. THAT is more like HC than the newbie's post, and frankly, THAT is one of the major reasons I left HC.
