Question: If you bought a guitar in 2023…

I donated a bunch of stuff (Supro Bluesking 8 amp, Gibson "The Paul" II, Emeral X7, and other miscellaneous stuff) to the local musicians group that supports music programs in the local schools. I only bought two things this year (besides a little Positive Grid Spark Go amp):

Xmas is coming, so my awesome wife agreed to letting me get another guitar. I was all about the Nashville Strat, but realized that I don't need any more or other electrics, especially solid bodies. Honestly, I don't need any more guitars, but I do not have a full-sized 12-string acoustic. Well, that has been addressed and this is coming sometime in the few days to a week:

I've no real use for the electronics, but they don't offer an acoustic only version of the guitar. It's gonna be big old thing. I also got a great price on the guitar...$150 less than MAP.

So, just in under the wire. 1st new guitar in nearly 2 1/2 years...it will be at least that long before I can discuss another with the boss.

Happy holidays all.

I have a Takamine EG523SC-12 from the early 00s that’s been in my collection about the longest of any of my guitars. I don’t break it out that often but have fun when I do. I’ve also done some solo shows with it to good effect. I don’t see ever getting rid of it. Funny - they still seem to sell for what I bought it for about 20 years ago!
