The Cult (Sonic Temple is one of my all-time fav albums).

The Cult is still touring non-stop and regularly putting out records. I see them 2-3 times a year.

Ian and Billy are "The Cult". Jamie Stewart was awesome, and it sucked when he bailed, but Ian and Billy were together before his arrival as well.

They never had a real, official drummer. Their tales of woe with regard to such make Spinal Tap's problems look like nothing. One guy died, another was too perpetually wasted to finish a record, Matt Sorum got the official title just long enough to get stolen by GnR because Adler turned to mush. However, they have had some kick ass drummers join them throughout the years including the unfreakingbelievable Mark Brzecki and John Tempesta.

yea.....and there in lies the problem.....without The Lord.....you DO NOT have Deep Purple. period.

it's like it would be great to put the original Chicago back together.....but without Terry Kath....it's a waste of time.
