I hesitate to call the town that we live in a city (about 120k people) but I think it's just about the right size for me. Plus, we live on the other side of town from the University so we pretty much don't even know it's here. That being said, if I could be living in this size town on the OTHER SIDE OF THE BORDER, I'd be all set.

I have to ask, why would you prefer the USA to Canada?

Well, generally because it's home. You live there for 25 years and move away...you just miss certain things. Like family...not being taxed to death...not seeing French everywhere you turn...warm weather...stuff like that. Plus, being in a University town, the folks here are WAAAAAAAAAY liberal. Not to turn this political at all, and I'm not a fascist myself, but I can only stomach so much, you know? I'd also like my daughter (and God willing a second child someday) to experience that part of their heritage and not just through stories from Dad.

Not to mention my in-laws are really grinding my gears lately with their surprise visits.

I didnt realize you were not originally from Canada :i: :i: :i:

There roughly 28k people in the entire county I live in.

The largest 'City' in the county has a population of 4100. (Ravenswood, WV)

The closest 'City' to me is Ripley, WV (pop. 3263...also the county seat).

The biggest city in WV is Charleston, population 50,478 within city limits...303,950 in the entire 'metro area'. Charleston is about 30 miles from my house.

My apologies Chilhi. Now that I know my mistake though, I will now demand that Warren ship me a spinach, mushroom, pepperoni and hot pepper pizza, for dinner tonight. cop0

NOW it makes sense and that does sound vaguely similar. Sorry man, I really should have known. Yes you should come back to PA. And convert to a Pens fan instead a Flyers fan. biggrin

Speaking of which, we're headed to see a few of the Pens after work today. AOK

You've got to understand that we live 30 minutes outside of the sprawling city of Toronto, so our little city is a blip on the map. Plus, I know there are some folks here that live in LA, NYC, *ahem* Pittsburgh, etc. so I didn't want to overstate the size of our little 'burb.

I grew up in a town of 1500 if its any consolation. AOK

I knew I loved you for some reason.

Thanks Warren, it looks like you are off the hook, although I was going to have to be very grateful. love0

Teh turkey was awesome. He had it smothered in Cajun garlic hot sauce and he served mashed taters and broccoli with it. He's an awesome hubbie.

The turkey was great. I've found that any kind of poultry cooked with this cajun garlic sauce is pretty great though.

Had the leftovers for lunch today. AOK
