I just ordered a pair of green suede Pumas, b*tches.

Looking for alternatives for office wear for next time. As office wear around here is basically whatever goes under a blazer, minus the tie if the tie is not needed, that is what works in my business world. If I am going to be seeing anyone.

Will look into some wool and flannel slacks alternatives to chinos/khakis, as I am tired of those myself, and think they look a bit tired and sad as well.

But, cheap is good also.
maybe you could rock this look [laughs]

For reasonable business attire, or just nicer casual, I shop Joe Banks and eagle-eye the clearance stuff. The prices yo-yo like crazy, but I just four nice fall sweaters, six shirts, and some trousers for $221. (Originally would've been about $600 when I first saw them on clearance).

what if one doesn't know what their feet are ? I assume I have normal feet, perhaps narrow. I do know I have flat feet/fallen arches but other than that I'm clueless.

Are you serious? How can you not know your shoe size and width? It's not like if you put on a few pounds or a lot of pounds or loose a lot of pounds it changes. After you are a teenager and are done growing, they are the same size for the rest of your life.

Have you never been in a shoe store where they used one of these?

I know my shoe size length but width, idk. I haven't bought a pair of shoes in person in probably 15 years, online is the way i roll. I know I have flat feet but I'm not a stickler for "exact fit(even in my running shoes), either they "fit" or they don't.
It's kinda like temperature I've known people who always have to shed a layer or add a layer , etc for the perfect temp. Myself just rolls with it....so i sweat a bit or I'm a bit cold....my body will adjust and I'll live. same goes for if i have too much lateral "wiggy room". It's usually not a problem with a narrow shoe (say for instance Addidas(they run narrow across the board).

I don't think I've used one of those since I was a kid.

Those remind me of NordstromBest (what Nordstrom's was back in the day, starting out largely as a shoe store) and the little shoe store Mom used to take me to in Fircrest, Washington, that had a poster for Hush Puppies in the window.

Also, I have a pair of these. Eat your heart out.

For anyone that didn’t know, Converse and Hurley are also owned by Nike.

Ive always liked Chuks but they are too narrow in the toe box for me. My feet arent especially wide but just wide enough across my toes that I wind up sizing up too much to get a good fit w/ those.

I love the style of chucks, but they just do not feel comfortable or supportive. I should give away my pair.

Get an insole. That's basically all they did with the new Chucks. After a couple of years, mine are ripping in the typical Chucks places, but they're definitely more comfortable.

I just ordered these yesterday, i'm curious to see how they get along with my pants. Size 14 so I can't wear Chucks, they just look fucking stupid in the larger sizes.

First, let's be honest; I am never going to run or do anything too athletic. Now that that is out of the way, I haven't seen a pair of athletic shoes in decades that I would want to wear. And this from a guy who wears Crocs. Think about that one. (better yet, don't.) (Smilie)

You should trade those crocs in for Birks at least! With woolie socks! Fits the image better.
