We could see the flames coming over Santiago Peak from in front of our house. When I took this it looked like it was a lot closer until I got online and saw where the fire really was. It’s amazing how close fire can seeem at night when it’s this large even 18 miles away.

Just walked outside and the smoke is t as bad. I do have ash all over my recently washed car though:

One of my favorite mountain bike climbs (Santiago). We had ash on our cars up in Pasadena. Probably from the same fire.

The smoke from up north provided some lovely color to our afternoon at the beach...
