Hurricane a comin!

Every update brings it further south.

I’m just hoping to stay in the southern quadrants at this point.

And the worst part is the models (at this time) have Dorian slowing, then recurving right up the FL Peninsula heading NE back out to sea. That's a lot of rain.

2 days ago, the models were indicating a similar scenario. Yesterday, they were indicating a crossing into the Gulf. Today, back to the NE curve. They may go back and forth for the next few days. One thing is constant though, Florida won't be getting out of it.

Mojo everyone and be safe. I don't miss that hurricane anxiety one damn bit.

Pressures down into the 940s, headed to Cat 5, winds at terrifying 145mph. With a stall or slowdown coming, I'm not sure Dorian can maintain that intensity level. On a positive note, models are now trending that the storm may miss the mainland entirely. Really hope that happens, and spare the Grand Bahamas too, they could be dealing with this for 2 days. There'd be nothing left.

The latest model has the storm moving E/NE which just about takes my location out of the cone. As of 11AM, winds have kicked up to 150 mph. Lots of variables that can still happen.

Dorian is the second most powerful hurricane ever at 185 mph. A turn to the north is anticipated very early Monday morning. If it doesn't turn, Dorian will be knockin' on my door. I'll know more in the morning.

Good luck amigos. This storm is a monster and I guess it has to go somewhere, but I hope you guys dodge the bullet.

Well, we certainly got lucky. It is off the coast from me as I type this and it is not bad here at all. 35 to 40 mh gusts and a little rain. No power loss yet or as I can see.
Hope everyone else is just as safe. Just got back from checking our facility and all is well. Should have the patients returning tomorrow from Tampa.
