Hockey fans - thoughts on the playoffs?

Ya.....IMO it's really anyone's cup now....

Betting on any one of the four remaining teams would be a crap shoot.......

That's true...if I HAD to bet, I could make a case for each of the teams.

I want to say that the Ducks have the stamina along with the 'we will wear you down' characteristic.

Chicago has the 'anyone on this roster can rise to the moment and win a game' and they have Toews & Kane.

Rangers win games in spite of themselves and then the next game spank the opposition - I call it the Wheel Of Fortune factor. They also have Rick Nash who can act like he has scored 75 playoff goals in his career after scoring any one of his 8.

Lightning are just like real lightning...powerful yet unpredictable. The game strategy of their opposition should be just like the safety advice for electrical storms: don't leave anything hanging out or you might lose it.

Final analysis (not a revelation): the East is in trouble against the West.

We're about to go again friends...
May the best team win...(and fuck off refs)..
I have no sticks in the fire but I still love it.
Good hockey is good hockey...........

Toews almost put together a moment of huge proportions there...probably huge for Ducks fans but a casual observer would have seen a Chicago win as a monster achievement whereas the Ducks winning is just a win - they look the same from the only perspective that counts.

The Hawks played their worst period of hockey of the season in the 1st last night, then were down two goals with less than two minutes left - and STILL had a chance to win. If the Hawks would have played anywhere near a 60-minute game and not shit the bed in the first, and then the OT, they are up 3-2 with the possible clincher at home, and Anaheim is wondering "WTF do we have to do to hold these guys down"?

I had no illusions of the Hawks winning it all this season - didn't think they quite had the horses, but dammit, even after a shaky regular season, and a Jeckyll/Hyde playoff, they were still this/close, and can be again if they win tomorrow night.

Wow (smh).

Well do the Rangers have the Lightning right where they want them? I think they are 8-1 in elimination games over the last 2 years

If Tampa takes it not sure how they will match up against the West...both teams are fast AND big

Hoping for a couple of game 7's this week.

Between the Rangers and Lightning, I think the Lightning stand a better chance against both Anaheim or Chicago than the Rangers.

Well the Rangers DO have them where they want them.
Let's see if Tampa can break the streak

Hoping for another Game 7 in the West series too

Once again,I think it's anyones cup...

I can't get overly excited with the four remaining teams..

I watch though and mostly look forward to something decent being on tv..

I have to agree.
Not overly impressive, though all 4 teams have a certain "flavor" of hockey they play.....

Not sure who is gonna pull this out, to be honest.

I've been surprised so far.

I just don't see Tampa Bay beating either of the teams in the west.
Maybe the Rangers, maybe not....I guess we'll see how it plays out.

I've got nothing against Tampa or Anaheim... But the fan energy/electricity just doesn't compare from, say, Chicago fans. That's absolutely a part of the enjoyment factor of watching a NHL Finals series.

I'm glad Chicago won tonight.

Only because that means a game 7 to decide the series.

..and a game 7 in the east.

Makes for even more excitement.
