Hockey fans - thoughts on the playoffs?

I should also say that Montreal is playing good hockey, too......I'm just not sure who they've gone "Smashmouth" with yet. And the Rangers are good at that kind of "stand up, hassle and try not to get a penalty" kind of game........Subban is gonna get knocked on his ass if it comes to that matchup.

I guess we'll see how it plays out.

I really don't have a horse in this race, but in the games that I have seen.....it definitely is East Coast vs West Coast kind of hockey.

We shall see.

Look. I am a Philly fan. BUT, you should win graciously and you should lose graciously. Very few teams get robbed in the playoffs. Philly takes a lot of deserved shit. But we're loyal, dammit.....and we know when we're getting beat.
What we don't do a good job of is the next step:

"Win graciously. Lose graciously."
"You don't have to like it, you just have to do it."
"We cheer for the logo on the front, not the name on the back."
"Act like you've been there before."
"There can be only ONE!......"
 
I have no problem with the Pens losing...None what so ever. I will wear the Reebok jersey around town

They'll rebound and I don't feel sorry for anyone that's making 8.7 mil per year plus indorsements...

Minnesota is looking like a team no one wants to play. It will be interesting to see what Chicago does especially about their goalie situation. Calgary and the Ducks could be a fun one but I see Anaheim winning without a great deal of difficulty because of better depth.

The Blues' upper management have to conclude that they need a big time goaltender. They have Philadelphia syndrome.

When it comes to the playoffs, every team that will go far will have a goalie who steals a game for them now and then. St Louis has been a 'no superstar' team until Tarasenko showed up...now they need a goalie or they will continue to have great regular season records but get eliminated in the playoffs.

The goalies have played pretty solid but not upper echilon. Both of those guys are VERY GOOD back ups. They need a #1.

F....I hate the Habs.

Oh yeah...and that's not a shutout. When a shat call negates a goal like that it isn't a shutout. With all of the reviews and so on, they are going to allow that crap? Not only that but it's not like it was a 4-0 goal...it was a goal that mattered and a goal that would have made the team play differently.

I will be hoping for Tampa or Detroit but I really wish Montreal had to play the Rangers.
 
Meh I've seen that fast whistle hundreds of times. Bad call maybe, the rule is if the ref loses sight of the puck he is to blow the whistle. From where he was it was the right call, from where the camera was it wasn't. I saw similar calls twice in the 5 games I went to this year so yeah it was a missed call but it wasn't necessarily a horrible call...it just was from your perspective. chears

Blues have some issues, that kid is either going to become great because of his last performance (learn and move on) or curl up into a fetal ball and die. The Blues have everything they need to be good but like the Sharks always seem to get outworked in the playoffs it seem to me.

And this is Epic (it's a bit hard to read the subtitles but the whole of O Fortuna done for Calgary Flames, well done Calgary Philharmonic well done :grin:

 
Watching the caps and islanders right now. Not that fun of a game to be honest. I don't see either of these teams getting past the Rangers.

Looks like the Craps are dominating the puck, but nothing to show for it.

Like many playoff games, this one could go down to who gets the first flukey goal.
