Employment is fairly over rated anyways. It would be interesting to work out exactly what the bare reasonable minimal wage I would need to live and be happy with and see what fun easy jobs pay that :grin:

And if you're feeling sorry for youselves, spare a thought for the poor fucker that's taken up an English post at this school.

Not only does he need to spend a year in this shit hole working with idiots, they messed up the timing of his visa so badly that he has to come out here in the next few weeks and spend the Summer here (when 75+% of the compound will be away on holiday. If "ummm yeah we kind of need you to come and live in a really backwards foreign country alone for 2 months because we've messed up your visa didn't set warning bells off to this guy then I really don't know what would.

Well the wheels are in motion for mine/my friends "back up plan" for if we can't get a job in the industry :thu: Simple/cheap website design targeting the businesses who are yet to get theirselves online, also offering photography, promo videos and that sort of thing. The only problem is we're not really web/graphic designers but we're getting much better at them already :embarrassed: Got enough clients for 3 months worth but we're unsure whether it'll last in the long run.
 
So you're more the coding/interactive side of it?

If you'd be willing to share the profits, I could design some shit :embarrassed:
 
Well neither of us really "do" web design or much html, just enough to get by really :embarrassed: We're just offering cheap and relatively nice looking sites (using those from other similar businesses for "inspiration" :embarrassed:) and undercutting the competition by quite a bit.

Ideally I'd be doing something with video, compositing, 3D graphics or animation but those sort of positions are few and far between and all want people with usually a minimum of 3 years' professional experience.

Right I'm off to finish the last of my batch of wine. This stuff is lethal, it's kicked the shit out of me the past 3 or 4 weekends (and some weekdays) :grin:
 
evening cuntbags.

Tomorrow = my last day with pupils this year (and possibly forever if Cameron's Britain pans out the way i think it will :eek: :embarrassed: !!!) It sounds as if most of the kids aren't turning up either.

After that it's a couple of weeks of strenuous 7:30-11 shifts, sleeping and football before I get my arse home :thu:

It's 4:30pm here. Two hours till I leave the office, but I'm struggling to stay awake on account of an almost sleepless night. Just before we headed to bed last night my daughter slipped on the bathroom floor and split her chin open - 9 stitches. She's three years old. Her screaming while the stitches went in pretty much silenced the rest of the accident and emergency dept. I know it could've been worse, but it was a really crappy thing to have to watch her go through.
 
tell her to man up. Shes have been down t'pit or under a spinning jenny collecting loose threads at that age 100 years ago:embarrassed:

Fun and easy jobs are probably very easy to find, since so few people are interested in them. :embarrassed:
