Get a slice of bread, dig a hole out of the middle.

Butter in a pan, throw in the bread with a little garlic and pepper, start it frying.

Crack the egg into the hole in the middle of the bread, let it cook a little, turn and cook other side. You may need to replenish the butter in the pan as the bread soaks it up pretty quickly, and you don't want the egg to stick and burn
