Morning all. Back at work after a long weekend. Long weekends are great but coming back to work always seems 'odd' afterwards. Watched the new Star Trek film over the weekend. Highly recommended!

Loved the first 'new' Star Trek film, but the second one has had some truly shite reviews. Nice to hear someone say something positive about it. Is it worth the £400 the local multiplex are bound to charge me to get in, or should I wait for the DVD?
 
Id say go and see it now. Ive read a couple of reviews myself, positive ones though. Id say its as good as the first one. Its just a film worth seeing I think.

Any film that gets panned by film critics normally turns out to be a bloody great action romp IMHO, as they seem to have their heads up their arty, farty arses. :snooty:

Critics have normally forgotten how to enjoy the simple things in life like stuff blowing up and phasers shooting the crap out of things. :grin:

On that note, I watched Hansel & Gretel yesterday, which got pretty much destroyed by the media. To be fair, it WAS bad, but so bad that it was enjoyable. And it's got Gemma Arterton :love:

Those visas are hard to get! I'm pretty much shit out of luck getting back there with my wife and (dual-nationality) kids now, unless I have a job offer paying at least £18,500 IN ADVANCE OF OUR ARRIVAL or 65 grand in savings (untouched for six months). Never mind the fact that we have two properties in Edinburgh and got married there ten years ago.

Anyway, good on the interpreters. I think they deserve visas.

Pissing down thoroughly here at the moment, looks like another big flood again.
Hopefully not as bad as the one 2 years ago, where pretty much all roads were closed for a few days and quite a few up here had their houses smashed.

Late shift tonight, looks like that will be a quiet one. :embarrassed:
