Here we go, and be honest now, do you care when someone says a band or album or song you like sucks?

I like to pretend I don't care and I guess I don't really, but if someone is like "the Flaming Lips suck" or whatever I do admit I feel insulted and take it personally - I don't know why, it isn't my band and I am sure I think bands other people like suck. And I shouldn't care. But I do!

Do you!?

I mean right now do you care if I say King Crimson sucks? I am listening to Red and I think it sucks!

I don't feel bad if you say radiohead sucks, I think the exception to my rule is if someone has a greatful dead avatar, then you can feel comfortable disregarding their opinions on music in general

LOL. That's the biggest cop out ever. The dead just loved living on the edge instead of just playing album tracks live and raking in the money. I suppose next you'll tell us that they couldn't play their instruments. FFS.

Unlike the Bugs, they could play their shit live.

sounds like SOMEbody cares what someone else thinks about the music they like!

I enjoy some friendly back and forth about why people’s favorite art sucks. Then again I went to school to basically learn how to point out why X is good and Y is awful so I’m not a giant weepy baby about disagreements re: taste and hero worship.

Here’s a podcast by two jagoffs who know all about the Dead.

One of these assholes actually has a good podcast called Cocaine and Rhinestones about the history of country music. This podcast is pretty shit. But a stopped watch shines on a dogs ass…
