Okay. Fundraiser round two has been delivered and the graphics have been given the thumbs up.
So, I’m going to jump in with some build pics.
This one was a bit of a challenge time wise due to my fussiness mixed in with several life events that ate up time.
I think I painted this one 6 times including two slightly different versions of the graphics. I had three different base plates in three different colours and kept coming back to the pearl blue that I had first.
It’s all good though. I enjoyed the process as I always do.
I also built the actual circuits twice. The first setup sounded like I threw my amp in a pond. Troubleshooting showed no issues. So, it was more of a component choice than anything else.
Then, looking back at the discussion around what was desired, I got a better idea to meet the requirements.
So, I give you Hippie Nightmare.
The main circuit is a variant of a Creamy Dreamer Muff. The second stomp switch is a boost.
The green LED lights with the fuzz. The clear knob at the top lights red with the boost.
Controls are Fuzz/Sustain, Volume, Tone, Mid-Scoop and then switches for a bass boost and clipping choices.
The finish is powder coated white, with coats of white Krylon and clear Krylon.
The graphics were applied using the same kind of process that lets you put pictures of your kids on a coffee mug.
So, it’s baked on.
I was going for a bit of a tattered hippie shirt look but wanted the fractals as nod to more modern times.
