Depp and those were never known as musicians though. They were only know after their acting careers. As for the first three it sounds like they were only in/on one show/movie. Phil has a whole list of movies and tv shows… he’s quite accomplished

Fair enough on the mostly-actors, but I just listed one credit for the the actors, but they have more. I'll add John Lennon, Mick Jagger, and David Bowie. I mean, what's better than Labyrinth?

I always assumed he was a “cute actor that recorded some pop albums” but was surprised to find out on the Sunset Studios interviews that he was a musician who did some acting on the side to pay the bills… and the soap thing was starting to take off and his first album was out so they featured him playing one of the songs for the show and both blew up at the same time!

I saw him pre-pandemic. I had no interest in seeing him.
He puts on a hell of a show and has a ton of energy for a guy that turned 70 that week.

Before his solo career he was the guitarist in a band called Zoot who were kinda a big deal in Australia.





Their 'Eleanor Rigby' cover rocks pretty hard.

Dwight Yoakam was on the ball in When Trumpets Fade as well. Ice cool and very credible performance.

Chris Isaak earns cool points for being one of the swat guys in Silence of the Lambs. He had like one line, I think, and I didn't even notice it was him the first time I saw it.

Probably the worst "Triple Threat" out there... When it comes to "Actor"/"Musician"/"Stunt Fighter".... Yep. He sucks equally bad at all three!!

He's saying he dabbled in acting much like Depp dabbled in music but the same way Depp became famous as an actor first and forem ost so did Phil become known as a musician first and foremost. Phil became accomplished in both arts where as Depp only in acting with bit cameo gigs with well known musician s due to his Celebrity status ...see the band P where he played with the Butthole Surfers dude.
