When it comes to brand new movies in the theatre, particularly MCU movies, I'm right there on opening weekend or in the case of most comic movies, I've already purchased my opening day tickets week in advance. I've already seen Quantumania, Missing, Shazam!, Cocaine Bear, Dungeons & Dragons, Renfeild, and Little Mermaid in the theatre and already have my tickets for Spiderman Beyond the Spiderverse, and a reminder to check for Flash tickets.
But when it comes to TV Series... I've been burned too many times before... Invested season after season in Lost only for them to shit on the entire series in the last season, or worse yet... series to get cancelled before they're resolved. Because of this, I'm usually a late adopter of a series.
I didn't watch a single episode of The Office or Breaking Bad until people talked about how good the finale was, then binged the entire thing before any spoilers could reach my ears. I usually hate 4 wall breaking, but the "interview" method of the Office eventually grew on me, almost forgetting the premise of a mocumentary and instead seeing it like brief inner monologues.
It wasn't until the first season of Ted Lasso was widely accepted and people were raving about season Two that I got onboard, binged the entire series up to that point, and then watched the last two episodes with everyone else. Now I'm painfully waiting week to week with the rest of the world.
So this weekend, I finally started binging Community this weekend. I knew that it was where my beloved Russo Brothers came from (Winter Soldier, Avengers Infinity War and Endgame). Kevin Feige has spoke on many occasions about their ability to blend multiple character arcs with humor and pop culture references... singling out a paintball episode that I finally got to last night. Really really enjoying all of these episodes and cameos and I've barely started season 2 out of 6. I can tell the last 4 seasons will fly by much faster as there are half as many episodes per season but I'm really digging it so far.
Dan Harmon the creator of Rick and Morty also created Community.
no spoiler, but there are several paintball episodes. All hilarious.
I am digging the new Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies tv show. Because I am cool like that.
Thanks for the recommendation.
I’m mostly a hater of Broadway-style musicals, but this is well-done and strikes some nice balances.
I have not.
Must I?
Season 1 was excellent! Didn't love season 2 as much, though Tituss Burgess has an amazing voice.I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Binged The Diplomat over the weekend--absolutely loved it!
Yeah, that whole cast killed it. Loved the Asian CIA lady.Binged The Diplomat over the weekend--absolutely loved it!
We never watched the Americans--this made me want to.That’s a good one. We recently started the Americans. Every time I put it on, my wife gets excited thinking it’s a new episode of The Diplomat. It never is.
