Give me something to watch on Netflix

That's pretty damn cool! I think you'd really like the show. I'm surprised they even got two seasons out of it, because it seems like a niche idea that was never going to grab the public ('Rockets and Crowley!'). I thought it was super fascinating though, and also beautiful to look at.

I wonder has anyone ever done a deliberate 'Jack Parsons and Gram Parsons' Mojave trip?
:embarrassed: We made Jack Parsons trips, and we made Gram Parsons trips, but somehow never realized they had the same last name :embarrassed:

Just finished Foyle's War season 1.

Late to the party since it came out in 2002, but it was excellent, if you like historical murder mysteries. Very old-fashioned, which is good for a series that starts out in 1940.

Season 1 also had some big stars when they were young and not stars yet. Rosamund Pike, James McAvoy, Tobias Menzies (Outlander), Sophia Myles, and David Tennant.

Now I've started on the series Mare Of Easttown, starring Kate Winslet. Three episodes into it, and it too is excellent. Police detective/murder mystery.

According to the shows producer, Mare Of Easttown will only be the one season, unless a great plot comes along and the actors want to get back onboard.

Watching that Woodstock 99 docu. I could understand if no one wants to relive that train wreck, but here in Germany we only heard that there was a riot and they burnt stuff up. Interesting how they show the growing tensions of that place.

And say what he will and whoever defends him, Fred Durst was obviously proud of what happened during their set.

I love Foyle's War. It's one of my favorite detective shows. Another one I really love is Cadfael.

is that the same doc where they show security guys holding up a sheet of plywood so tough guy Fred could “crowd surf”? He looked like a baby taking his first steps. What a douche. I saw them open for Faith No More in the mid 90’s. People were openly mocking them they were so bad.

Yes, that was on there.

Anyone seen Blood Red Sky? A German aeroplane hijack cum vampire movie.

a weird combination, but it works with some great acting.

For some reason I completely missed this at the time. Just watched it. Enjoyable low budget horror if you like vampires and planes and some such.

Only disappointment was the lack of a Bono cameo to say 'get these motherfucking vampires off this motherfucking plane' :embarrassed:

I'm a couple of episodes into Kleo on Netflix. It's shaping up to be a cut-rate Killing Eve but it's fun anyway.

I watched most of 13 Lives last night (will finish tonight). I'll have to say that the underwater confined space scenes made me very nervous, and I'm not claustrophobic at all. I didn't sleep well last night.

Good flick, but they could have easily trimmed 30 minutes off of it.

I really liked it. The documentary about it on Disney+ ("The Rescue") is fantastic too, and it's amazing when you realise the details they got right in the movie, right down to the exact same t-shirts the rescuers were wearing.

I couldn't make it through the first episode of House of the Dragon. But I didn't like Game of Thrones either.

I'm a couple of episodes into this on AMC+ and I'm really enjoying it. And David Strathairn reliably elevates whatever he's in.

Finished the season of Sweet Tooth yesterday. Really enjoyed it. For those of you who've watched it, I would die to protect Bobby.

Four episodes into Arcane now, and it definitely deserved its Emmy.

The shows that I’ve been moving most in the past month or so have been The Bear and the new season of Reservation Dogs. The Patient as well.

None of these are Netflix, though.

Actually, that’s not entirely true, I really like Never Have I Ever. But that’s a high school series and I can’t see it getting much love here.

The Bear — Fantastic
Reservation Dogs — Also fantastic
The Patient as well — I'm saving my assessment until the end of the season but so far it's kept me engaged. Domhnall Gleeson is doing a superb job.

I finished and enjoyed McMafia. Solid B, maybe even a B+ or A-.

Anyone watch The Nymphomaniac director’s cut on HULU? Holy shit! That’s a wild, gritty, disturbing ride. Brilliant, but the ending pissed me off.

Started watching Devil in Ohio yesterday. Only got 2 episodes in so I'm not sure yet but I am going back for more so there's that. It's a slow build.
There is a moment early on that mostly hooked me though.

Maybe I missed it, has anyone watched the new season of West World? I just don't have time to watch anything right now but I'd really like to get started on that one.
