Give me something to watch on Netflix

I started watching it yesterday and completely agree the Aubrey Plaza thought. Maybe the best argument for her not being in it is the similarity to her Legion role. She also played a filmmaker recently in Black Bear (decent movie if you haven't seen it).

I watched the 3 Fear Street movies over the weekend. It was enjoyable light horror.

I've just watched the first one, I liked it a lot. It had a kind of horror Riverdale vibe. I mean that in a good way.

I'll try 1978 tonight. I'm looking forward to it!

Lucifer on Netflix has been ok so far. Basically a police procedural with the added element of a cheeky Lucifer Morningstar on vacation from Hell. I’ve been watching it in the background while working out. Not sure I’d sit down just to watch it.

I found Lucifer pretty entertaining. However, it get's to the point where the episodes are just the same exact thing rehashed over and over.

Chapelwaite on Epix starring Adrian Brody has been really good 2 episides in. There are 10 total.
It's based on the Stephen King short story 'Jerusalem's Lot'.

Frank of Ireland (on Amazon) is rude and somewhat funny. I'll probably finish the first season.

The wife doesn't care for it - it is decidedly guy humor.

My wife and I loved that show--so funny and so wrong.
Watching The Killing on Prime now--it'll piss you off and suck you in at the same time.

They have up to episode 4 on their streaming app.

The fifth isn't til Sept. 12, though.

Thanks. We have watched the first 4 episodes. We are hooked. I was hoping episode 5 would stream on September 5th.

Two other recent television series based on the writings of Stephen King are 'The Outsider' and 'Mr. Mercedes'. Both are at the top of their genre and well worth streaming.

Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman are both amazing.
Yeah, just incredible! I'd only seen her in bit parts before, and I'd never seen him in anything. Their chemistry is perfection.
Peter Sarsgaard is acting up a storm in season three as well.

Finished The Killing, and I didn’t like where they took it in the final season. Managed to wrap it up ok, though. And still a thoroughly enjoyable watch overall.

Took a break from Lucifer and switched to Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. It's entertaining despite my inability to separate Jack Ryan, CIA officer, from Jim Halpert of Dunder Mifflin. Wendel Pierce is great in the show, no surprises there.
