Give me something to watch on Netflix

Currently I'm housebound following a minor surgical procedure so I'm watching lots of TV. I'm really liking Fallout. I have one episode left. I finished Renegade Nell and found it okay but a little too Disney. I finished The Crown and all in all it was a good watch. The final season of Curb is recorded and I will probably get to it next.

Certainly no masterpiece, but this series has been giving me joy and delight in recent years and I hope that it keeps continuing.

I watched Anna today. Typical and predictable. Hot Russian ex junkie gal (Sasha Luss) get recruited by KGB. Gets training and her cover is a fashion model. CIA wants her as a double agent. Luc Besson directed. Helen Mirren and Cillian Murphy had major roles also.

Enjoyable tropey crap though.

Fallout is a great adaptation/new story. And Walton Goggins. I mean, come on. I'm not sure there's anything I wouldn't watch him in (that would be aired on TV)
I have thought about 3 Body Problem a lot but haven't started it. I feel like it's gonna be a hype train of disappointment. Usually the stuff everyone loves, I end up not being a fan of. It's not on purpose. I just like weird shit.

I have never had a Pop Tart.

Nevertheless I enjoyed Unfrosted on Netflix about the invention of Pop Tarts. It's more entertaining than it sounds. Jerry Seinfeld's directorial debut and very much a Jerry Seinfeld joint.

It did make me even less likely to try a Pop Tart. WTF is that shit?

I need to talk about this one with Motorik immediately.

Absolutely fantastic film. From the opening with Pentagram 'Forever My Queen' and the news footage, right through to the end, everything was perfect. The period details, costuming, the film stock, everything looked so good. And that climax! I really liked the performances of Lilly, and the James Randi-esque guy. I loved when he went from skeptic to satanic supplicant when everything went south!

Fubo dropped several channels that Mrs. T enjoyed, so we cancelled and switched to Hulu for a significant price drop. It has everything we need with only one exception, the local sports channel that broadcasts Astro games.

I really liked it too. So fun.

Feels like only a matter of time before some kids start attempting a stage adaptation.

I started watching Ripley. Interesting story line but wow, the b and w cinematography is so beautiful.

I finished Three Body Problem last night. I didn't hate it, which surprised me because I thought the book was pretty silly. Well written and decent story telling, but pretty silly nonetheless.

It will be interesting to see how the series goes for the remaining two book. The second book STARTS at silly and by the end of the third book, Liu is in pure lala fantasy land.

I guess that just shows that I have more of an ability to suspend disbelief and logic when watching a movie over reading a book. I hope it holds out for the rest of the series.

Bodkin was decent.
Late Night with the Devil was great until the dreamy end sequence.

Warrior

Shannon Lee produced (Bruce Lee's Daughter). Shannon said that she found a movie script that her father was working prior to his death. She turned it into a series. Three episodes in and I am hooked.
