I have the coffee table book of Roger Dean's work. Love it.

I have been told this is a Mandelbrot set viewed on a tilted perspective.

I'll admit that I had to google that, but once I did, I'm not seeing that at all. Also, in the Dean book it shows many of his works built up from sketches.

The interesting story behind that picture is that they later realized they were not in the correct order according to their name, so they went back to reshoot it a couple of days later and the house was no longer there. Just as mysterious as to where they actually met.
