Modern Saint
Starve your Fear, Feed your Dream!
Just started it. Very interesting
We used to have a Golf-n-Stuff here in Tucson too. I guess it was a chain because we had another miniture Golf place too that was for sure locally owned but Golf n Stuff was huge, had the bumper boats, the little race cars, batting cages, all the video games and also that bowling game thing. I had a birthday party there once.OK with the 118 heat and fires this weekend, I binge watched a bunch of episodes. Interesting, I like it.
BTW - Golf 'N Stuff, the same one, was my high school hang out.
The backstory on Kreese was well done.
I watched the first episode with pretty low expectations on Netflix one night... then I watched the whole series that weekend.
Thought Season 3 was the best so far. The backstory on Kreese was well done.
I see what they were trying to do, but thought it was poorly executed. I think I would’ve been ok with him being a bad guy just because he’s a dick and all the Vietnam stuff was stuff he made up to make himself seem more badass to kids.

Just finished season 3.
I'm tired of every movie/tv show going back and showing the back story of the bad guys, to show at one time, they were good, then something happened. I would have been fine just leaving Kreese a dick with no story.
I hate flashbacks 99% of the time. Especially in a series. It’s lazy sloppy amateurish writing, and it usually just makes me think of fan fiction. Almost everything that matters should be gathered from hints and other non-explicit info.
‘Show’ versus ‘tell’.
I get especially irritated with shows that have flashback scenes as a part of their DNA and structure.
