Mark, you can remove or lock this if you wish, but IMHO this event is not "something that belongs in the political thread."

This is not about politics -- it's about radical right-wing terrorists. They ... remind me of ISIL: small in number, but willing to sacrifice enormously for a cause that gives them a sense of "making history."

And so then people die.

When is this going to change? Where can it end?

it will end when that asteriod the size of texas slams into earth and everything is vaporized.
 
To be fair, if you would just drop the " right wing" from your post I wouldn't see how anyone here could argue against it or feel attacked.

Of course, these days all bets are off.

I honestly don't understand any of this & I'm concerned there are no practical answers to how we as country pull back from some of this extreme intolerance and hate fueled self-righteousness that makes it an acceptable option to commit violence against someone who has different views than yourself.

I kinda like the haircuts.

I expect that posting everybody's picture online will do the trick. As long as we all agree that being a literal Nazi is a good reason to lose your job. Counter protest is showing up with your phones and posting online.

And it might be ok to continue punching Richard Spencer, captain America style, anytime some bottom feeder network thinks he's worth interviewing.
 
Personally, I don't feel all that threatened by redneck douchebags with Tiki torches...ignorance is universal, and you can't fix stupid, but you can sit back and relax knowing that ignorance and stupidity specializes in calling attention to itself...
