Can we appreciate the triumph of Triumph as a group experience?

seriously...wehat a great band. Steller vocals, amazing guitar playing, justb a solid band. I remember them being played on the radio a lot but I think they are one of those forgotton bands who never really got due credit for being awesome....and also Woz was a pretty rad dude wasn't he although he did call Triumph Heavy metal so not really sure how clued in he was :embarrassed:

from about here till the next few minutes when his solo is over ....I mean WOW mind ass-plode fer sure

Hyper-talented musicians, but a super cheesy band with mediocre songs. I always wanted to like them.

I saw Triumph twice in concert. Excellent live band, plus they brought tons of 'lasers' and stage fireworks. Not quite as many fireworks as Dio, but still, a lot of them.

Saw them on their Never Surrender tour, with Foghat. Foghat had that drummer dude from the HSAS supergroup playing with them.
Saw Triumph on the Thunder Seven tour, with Molly Hatchet.
Was supposed to see Triumph w/Yngwie Malmsteen in 1986(?), but got sick that night, so I didnt go :frown:

I watched a documentary recently about the band and how they got involved in a fan club anniversary gathering.
They got the band back together and did a surprise mini-concert, with all the pyro because (paraphrasing) “If we don’t have the pyro, then fuck it.”

Edit: this one - just the trailer.

Didn't Micwalt post a Lay It On The Line cover awhile ago?

:headbang:
Yes I did, an acoustic cover. I used to sing that one when I was in ARENA.
They were never a band that I had to rush out and buy the latest album, but they had some great tunes, excellent guitar playing, and two fantastic singers.
