I don't care for U2, and Bono really irritates me these days.

I'm glad we're adult enough on here to NOT resort to name-calling, or shitting all over someone's religion, politics, etc....... (well, I did call Bono a twat, a cunt, and several other things during my rages, didn't I?)......anyway......my rant's over.

If I didn't feel free to share my opinion, and felt able to agree/disagree respectfully with others on here, I wouldn't have posted it, you know?

This is not equivocating, this is voting. I voted the way that I felt was best for the country, and that was that neither was even within sniffing distance of being capable of performing in a competent manner. Equivocating is saying: "Well, both are bad choices but I am going to vote for the least smelly pile of shit." Voting for one or the other in the last election was tantamount to settling for the pile of shit that smelled better.

We get Trumps and HRC's when we settle for the pile of shit that smells the best. When we stop voting for Trumps and HRC's is when we start getting people who are the Most Capable of doing the job as opposed to the one's who the parties feel will appeal to the base animal instincts of the voters.

Did either party have anyone as capable as HRC? I'd like to see that list. There are plenty of people that could do the job, Bernie, O'Malley, on the Dems for sure...DEFINITELY Biden. I have a harder time seeing any capability on the GOP side given the state of the Congress...so not decent candidates there. Maybe some Governors, but who.

Objectively, Hillary was one of the most qualified candidates to ever run for office. That fact people bought into the propaganda that the GOP and/or their mouth pieces have been spewing for close to three decades, doesn't change that fact.

But, I'm still cool with Bono. :thu:

But Hillary has none of his paranoia. Unfortunately, she also lacks the ability to relate to regular people...not unlike nor nearly as badly as Trump.

Listening to some U2...Bono's voice is amazeballs.

This is simply unintelligent.
1. Trump is a danger. That is not "politics," it's well beyond it. He is a menace to our society.
2. Bad candidates don't arise from compromise, they have arisen from lack of compromise. If you do not understand this, you may want to look into it further. Our primary system is geared to reward either huge-money candidates, or fringe candidates, or those who are both.

I guess I just outgrew U2, and it pisses me off that they're re-hashing a seminal record from 30 years ago (that I fully supported at the time) as a political statement so Bono can caterwaul to the masses about what America is doing wrong, while holding out his hand for a paycheck.

I find it more distasteful that the same criticisms apply 30 years later. The album was political then and is political now, and still applies. Unfortunately.
