Peen Simmons
Let’s Get Obtuse!
Save the date and book your tickets because you can catch a Peen Simmons and @Dew Knot Humps double bill on Saturday, May 30th in Chicago at a brewery where the beer is so good no one even thinks of drinking Schlitz.
The marketing angle….… no one even thinks of drinking Schlitz.
The neighborhood where this is taking place has more cops per capita living there than any other Chicago neighborhood. All of the fun without the bedbugs.
I haven’t looked at my calendar yet, but this may be one I might make. Can a man park a Cadillac in that neighborhood or should I drive the Chevy?
Somehow I'm not comforted by that fact. The neighborhood where this is taking place has more cops per capita living there than any other Chicago neighborhood.
You’d be perfectly fine parking in the neighborhood. It’s the part of the city that is permanently 1965.Somehow I'm not comforted by that fact.
How far from an Amtrak stop? (not that I'm comfy there either)
Since I kind of know you guys I promise I'll throw softer tomatoes and not apples as I usually do.
In a way it saddens me that people think Chicago is so dangerous that it’s something to worry about.Somehow I'm not comforted by that fact.

My daughter lives in Baltimore, she gets that a lot too. I think most major cities have their areas that you want to avoid, but that's just a fraction of what's there. In a way it saddens me that people think Chicago is so dangerous that it’s something to worry about.
The Saloon is good people.I will be in Chicago the week prior...unfortunately, I won't be in Chicago on the 30th. Last time I was there (two years ago), I took in some music at the Montrose Saloon out toward the end of the brown line. Hell of a long ride from the loop where I was staying.
Is real pints or those weird American "pints"?
Do they sell those daft little coke can sized beers?
Do they have the big juicy on draft or is it all weird hibiscus and pomegranate ipas?
I'm not saying it's a hard no but there's some barriers to entry for me.
The Tall Boy is 24 oz's of malt liquor. Is real pints or those weird American "pints"?

Tease!I would actually consider a weekend in Chicago for that, among other things, but I have a gig that night.
Indeed. Any forumites who attend are entitled to one free photo with my dad. This is a $45 dollar value! I bet he will even throw in some unsolicited baseball observations at no additional charge.Still plenty of time make reservations at a sleazy motel near the brewery for what could possibly be the best night of your life!
LOL. Use to talk with a guy trying to bring his drinking under control and use tell me yeah, only had a couple last night. two 40's.
