Love the game. The interaction between the pitcher and catcher are great. You also have to play offense and defense.

Any sport is boring if you don't appreciate at least some of the finer points. In baseball's case, if you don't see each at-bat as a duel between the hitter and the pitcher, you're just sitting there waiting for a hit. I can see how that would be boring.

I’ve been to several major league games. Almost nobody was actually watching the game, they just showed up to socialize and network, and they left early.

This might be odd, but for me baseball was always better on the radio than Tv.

Probably has to do with my dad and both grandpas always having it on a little transistor radio during those idyllic summer days of childhood.

Plus Ernie Harwell - my fav sportscaster.

Both my grandpas died and then Ernie. That killed any real joy I got from the game.

I feel like there are many Dodger fans who will feel the same way this season. Even though Mr. Scully is still among us, his work will never be replicated.

Play-by-Play announcers are a dying breed. A true lost art. Makes any game, not just baseball, more enjoyable when you have a good sportscaster.

I might be boring, but so is baseball.

In all seriousness though, I am starting to think baseball is a regional sport. I know exactly one person who enjoys baseball, and he's from Chicago. He tries to talk baseball at the gym and gets no takers. There is never baseball on tv in bars here, and if you turn it on you more than likely will get yelled at.

The last time I went to a game I was invited to a business associates suite. It was full of people, and everyone mingled and consumed adult beverages inside. Not one person paid any attention to the game to the point that the attendant had to tell us that the game had ended.

All that being said, when I am on the east coast baseball seems to be very popular.
