Question: Attention builders: What do you think of this?

That's odd only because I don't think I have ever seen a fire engine red explorer.

in my head
Is this the one you're thinking of Peeker?

Now I'm tempted by the 7-string.
I've never been able to wrap my head around that low string. I'm perfectly capable of playing a 7 string but what I hear in my head doesn't go that low. LOL

Same here. I and a 7-string in the 90s that I ended up selling. No song I play needs a 7-string, and my music theory isn't good enough to deal with the low B string. Nor am I at all into nu-metal.

Why the fuck I want one is anyone's guess. I think If I'm going to build a guitar, I'd want something that fills a hole in my collection. I've got damn near every sound (except a telecaster) covered.

I'm torn between the Jem and the 7string. That's the only reasonably-priced vine neck I've seen.

Also, let me know how this all works out for you. I'm leaning towards getting the JEM 7-string in a few months.

Will do. I tracking says it should arrive at my parents' place on Monday.

well, tax return came and went, was only about 1/3 of what I expected.
so, there go the plans for a new water heater and a DIY guitar kit

actually, I blame my bosses for not taking the extra cash off each paylike as I asked them to do...

Guess you guys don't have a an equivalent to the W-4 form that you fill out yourselves up there?

if I understand correctly what a W-4 is, yeah, we do.
but usually I just get them to fill it out, and then I sign it

It's the form where you define your dependents and additional deductions here in the US.

pretty much the same idea, then.
although this one doesn't have anything about dependents, iirc.
just what your dedections will be on the federal and provincial levels.

in any case, I'm banking so many hours lately, that I still might be able to swing a kit anyways. sure would be nice.

So, I got the kit today. The grain is actually really nice! The headstock is oddly cut differently, but nothing that can't be fixed with a saw.

I haven't had a chance to photograph it, yet, but once I do I'll start a new thread about finish options.
