Badfinger ... saddest band story, ever. Ever.

Once wrote a piece about Pete Ham, Nick Drake, Tim Buckley and Gram Parsons. So much talent, just .... gone.

Yep,such a great band. They had so many great songs.
Tragic story.

The new Gov't Mule album "Revolution Come, Revolution Go". Have given it about 6-7 spins through so far. It's hetting great reviews, but I'm kinda on the fence about it - for whatever reason, it just hasn't grabbed me like a lot of their prior stuff.

The lyrics are different, but the music is very samey. I feel the same way about the new Roger Waters.

This is interesting. English Chamber Folk + jazzy NYC kids rhythm section + Big Metally/Zep song structure.

I'd go see this band live. Checks tour dates...

Hey, you're right about that Roger Waters album though. There's about 10 spots in there badly in need of a Gilmour lead and it just never happens. The whole thing just keeps drearily chugging along with its sameness. Bummer.

Yeah, it's a pretty interesting album lyrically, but it mostly just feels like Pink Floyd Lite, musically.
