Friday and Saturday ----> [ame="http://markweinguitarlessons.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11399"]Tele's Snow Day Adventure - The Forums at MarkWeinGuitarLessons.com[/ame]

Sunday, woke up to no cable, internet or otherwise. So I went to work and started cleaning up the snow there, which mostly means I beat the snot out of our plow truck:grin: We're closed on Monday, but I'll go back out there to help clean up. It's better than losing a vacation day.:thu:

Friday: Mum had a meeting down closer to the city, so I dropped off my new Tele and my lapsteel for them to get serviced... picking up the Tele tomorrow! After that mum and I had brunch at First Watch where I had an awesome egg white veggie omelet. After that I came home knocked about for a bit and then took a long nap. Later on I did some more work for my upcoming D&D game, including testing the online interface. :embarrassed:

Saturday: Joint birthday party that I seriously did not want to be at. Drinky-drinky, then come home and kept drinking. Watched Rescue Me and kept drinking.

Sunday: Drinking, Rescue Me, and finally beat Uncharted! Started playing The Force Unleashed and now I'm burning a CD for tomorrow.

friday: went out for greek food
saturday: lessons. got fitted for my tux. hung out at friend's place.
sunday: groceries. football.

Friday: made dinner for my wife who had been away on a business meeting in Stockholm and arrived late in the evening. I made ravioli with a garlic sauce and everything was OK, until I put some parmesan cheese over it. The cheese was bad (!) and destroyed the whole meal. I drank a Clos de Roca from Coteaux de Languedoc to a sandwich. :(
Saturday: had dinner at my younger brothers place. Salmon made in the oven and Gustav Lorentz Riesling Reserve.
Sunday: recorded two new tunes at a new studio owned by our saxophonists son. I finally used my Les Paul-SG 1961, which in my amp has a very strange raw, nervous and aggressive sound. Sounds like the heroin-loaded Mclaughlin when he played with Tony William´s Lifetime and at Wayne Shorter´s LP Super-nova. I was quite happy with the recordings, even if it didn´t sound as good as I had expected, so I had a glass of cremant from Savoi when I came home to celebrate it.

Friday- nuthin'

Saturday- Got the camper shell door on my truck fixed. Put some front shocks on. Ordered a set these which I'll get next Saturday. Dug up and wrestled out a 6 foot palm tree in my back yard which was dying. Brush and bulky is coming in a week or so and I now need to try and roll the beast into the alley  went and visited my mom in the hospital , she had an angioplasty on Friday.

Sunday- visited my mom, sat around and read and watched tv.

monday morning - just got a call from my dad saying my mom was having trouble (nausea stomach)during the night and he'll have to take her back. They released her yesterday since she had been there 5 days. Now they'll probably release her to a care home for a while  She had a bad experience in one when she had back surgery a few years back

Friday - quiet night, chilled out.

Saturday - Worked in the AM, worked on my taxes, then drove 45 minutes to Hadley, MA so my wife could see Avatar while I went to Barnes and Noble and the mall. God, what a long movie. At least I didn't have to be in the theater. Then went to Friendly's to eat. (They aren't very friendly to vegetarians.)

Sunday - Did some household chores, and reading. Went to the Book Bear, a second-hand bookstore in town, and picked up more reading material. One book on the history of labor songs, one on non-violence, and several mysteries for light reading. Bought groceries.

We were supposed to have a literary group meet at my office, but the landlord called to say there were some pipes that burst in the basement of the building and he had to turn off the water while waiting to get a jackhammer to take up part of the basement floor. So the group will meet on the 21st instead.

My weekend was pretty low key… it started snowing here Friday night. We got around 28 inches…

Friday – went to Bertucci’s with the fiancée and then watched HGTV
Saturday – woke up watched HGTV and Food Network all day… we also make calls to some hotels in Florida for our wedding in November… shoveled a bit
Sunday – went to the supermarket… came home and ate… watched tv… ate… played guitar… ate

That’s pretty much it

Friday - Not much...

Saturday - Ran a butt load of errands all day long. Did a soldering job on my Xaviere Telemaster per the instructions from Guitar Fetish (emailed to us - some were soldered incorrectly at the factory). Now the neck pickup does not work. Made and awesome dinner and practiced guitar for about an hour.

Sunday - Played guitar at church in the AM. Sat at home and cooked stuff and watched the game on and off.

Snow. Started Friday, ended Saturday. We went out yesterday and got my kid a DS for her b-day, then went out for pizza. Roads were still terrible. Played a lot of guitar this weekend. Pretty much it.

See thread entitled: "Bifold closet doors are the work of the devil."
gah

friday: it was a rainy day....a lady friend (her name is karen) came over and we watched various snippets of a bunch of my concert dvd's....she is a big music fan and she loves the blues! :thu:

saturday: did some house work and a little client work....went to dinner at karen's and then we met some friends at a little dive/biker bar to see a friend of mine's band....there was a biker club there having an anniversary party (it was founded by firemen) and i purchased a 50/50 ticket....winner gets half and the other half went to a charity....i won $100!!!! :bluesdance:
the 4 of us came back to my place and we hung out till almost 3 in the morning listening to music and shooting the shit....

sunday: slept in....helped my neighbor hook up their wireless router....and karen ended up coming over to watch a movie....we watched
"crossroads" the blues movie with ralph machio and joe seneca (and part of the superbowl....the half time show)....went to bed early and got up at 4am to watch the last night launch of the space shuttle....

Actually had some fun this weekend...

... went to Livonia Michigan (one of the nicer burbs around detroit) and stayed at an Embassy Suites there, did some shopping at 12 oaks mall, and went to see Avatar at the 3D Imax theatre there.

Wow... what a difference the Imax made compared to 3D on a normal screen. Instead of flat objects placed in 3D layers, the actual people had depth, and shape, and looked like they were really standing there in front of you. Their eyes, skin, and facial features were so realistic... added a whole new realism to the movie.

Got to watch the Pistons actually have a full roster and win a game.

And then of course, we come back to reality with all the depressed Colt fans around us.
