Vaccine thread

My friend is having a small birthday party in a gaming café. I’m vaccinated so I’m going! This will be my first meetup with these guys in over a year.

Got my second jab Sunday morning. Drank a half gallon of Gatorade and took tylenol, besides sore arm and a little fatigue Monday I'm feeling good so far. Thrilled to be a few weeks shy of fully vaxxed, I need some normalcy.

Got my 2nd Pfizer jab this morning. Arm and shoulder are pretty sore already. Didn't have much if any soreness from the 1st jab, so maybe the rumors about the 2nd dose being nastier are true. We shall see.

So far a little over 24hrs post second dose and nothing but a slightly sore arm (about the same as the first). Got up this morning walked the dog, cut the grass and did my exercises with no noticeable problems. Seems like the best way to avoid the side effects is to be old  The younger people I know that got their second have side effects anyone my age or older hasn't

I felt sort of moderately hung-over and useless most of the day yesterday after shot #2 on Monday afternoon, but feel basically back to normal today!

Day 2 from Pfizer dose 2 and right as rain. No noticable side effects at all. Winning!

Same here. I declared myself side effect free after a 46 mile ride at normal speed. If that doesn't show anything nothing will. Now the countdown until full vaccination and a visit to my buddy (also vaccinated) to share some PNW microbrew that I have saved for such a special event :dude::houra:

Yeah, I'd say you're probably out of the woods in terms of side effects. I won't quite hit the magic two week period after the 2nd dose before I head up to the PNW myself on the 15th, but pretty close. Glad I'll have some protection since I'm heading straight into the latest hotspot of nutcases who refuse to get vaccinated (Oregon). Unfortunately, it's for the funeral of my sister in law that passed on Friday after battling melanoma. I'd rather not go but... you know.

Fuck cancer, fuck this virus.

The day after was a bit foggy, but I was still fully functional. I didn't NEED to nap, but I wanted to.

Today - three, almost four days later - I'm wondering if that fogginess was unrelated, because I'm feeling it again after a 15 minute walk around the neighbourhood.

Most of the stuff I saw (and my wife researched even more) suggested it would be 24-48 after the second dose and last 24-48 hrs so

The next day: shivering in my bed with what feels like a terrible hangover mixed with a cold
