What you do for a living: I am a clinical psychologist. I work full time for the Michigan Department of Corrections and have a very small private practice. Currently hoping not to be privatized.
Other hobbies beside music: I love to read. Science fiction and fantasy. Hanging out on social networks too much of the time. Not enough time practicing guitar. I sing in the choir of the Unitarian Universalist church where I belong, and discovered that I am a baritone, to my surprise (all those years singing Neil Young songs, and here I am faking bass).
Biggest musical influence: I have been listening to folk music since I was little, so Pete Seegar, Joan Baez. Spent years exploring the seventies era progressive rock of bands like Yes, Gentle Giant, others. Grateful Dead, Joni Mitchel, Neil Young, Richard Thompson, The Who, Beatles, God, there is so much good music out there!
Number of guitars and amps owned (can cause some embarrassment):Two nice acoustics, not high end, but sound great. 2 electrics, a customized Peavey T-60 and an SG Classic with P90's I feel unworthy to play. One small tube amp.

Trent Reznor. Odd, i know, but he's my hero.
i have 4.5 guitars and 1 bass, but I've owned two basses. I sold the first one because of failure to bond. New one is much nicer and likes me much better. The Feeling is mutual.

Musical influences: Neil Giraldo made we want to play guitar, then Angus Young and 80's metal bands Then it was the Police, Cure, the Cult, Big Head Todd, Goo Goo Dolls (older stuff), Gin Blossoms, Whiskeytown. Now it is more Drive By Truckers, Muse, some Foo Fighters but I still listen to everything I grew up on.

What you do for a living: I honestly can't say because as stupid as it sounds, I can get in trouble because it can be said I'm representing my employer for anything I say and be fired on the spot. I'm very mellow here, but on sites where I'm very opinionated, I add a disclaimer to my signature. Yes, the man is up my butt that much.

Other hobbies beside music: Motorcycles, Yoyo play and collecting, guitar modification, Movie watching, Interesting Coffee Table Books.

Biggest musical influence: Jimi Hendrix, Ted Nugent, The Outlaws, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Motorhead, AC/DC, Leslie West, Ace Frehley, VanHalen, SRV, Doobie Brothers,

Number of guitars and amps owned: 10 guitars and 5 amps. I'm fairly set on my guitar and amps. I mean, unless they break, I don't see myself buying any others. I have each set up how I like and know each of my amps to where I can EQ them in seconds to get what I'm looking for. It's probably been two or more years since my last guitar purchase and 3 or more years since my last amp purchase.
