I'm kinda over my Tele. But it sounds great and plays nice so I keep it. It's a texture instrument for me. Having a more expensive one won't do me any good.

The butterscotch one looks just like my '52 RI. Funny he would call them Blackie when that name's kinda already in use for Clapton-looking black Strats w/white pg's.

Looking at the webpage, the spec's and choices you have make this a very competitive Tele choice at $1598, especially when you have Kirn's quality and super tight neck pocket.

Yes, they'd have the option of spending an extra $1000 for a guitar that doesn't sound any better.

That said, I think that $1600 in a totally reasonable price for a great electric guitar, if you really love it.
