I'm such a dummy I you tube version I learned it from was in standard. I knew they did it in Eb. So just tune it down a half a step when I'm playin with my ipod

Yeah, because you can't play along with the record in standard without leaving out the open E (Eb) in the choruses, which the version you learned from obviously did.
