We absolutely love semi hollows around here and our new Arcturus Supreme model doesn't disappoint. We've been saving this piece of Cherry for years now, it has this amazing iridescent quality with great figure and grain. What's Cherry sound like? Like Maple so fret not, it sounds amazing.

Specs:

  • Alder body, Cherry cap
  • Flamey Maple neck with Wenge 25.5" scale, 22 Jescar 47095NS frets, 12" radius, 1.68" nut width
  • Mastery Vibrato and Bridge, Hipshot open back locking tuners
  • Lollar Regal pickups (other options available)
  • CTS Pots, CRL switch, Dunlop straplock ready buttons
  • 7.7lbs
  • Ships in a Mono case

I wouldn't say to No to that, but if I were ordering one, it wouldn't have the cherry cap in natural finish.
At least based on that photo.

It's 1/1. I've had that piece of cherry for years and finally found something to do with it. It's really pretty and honestly cherry sounds like a perfect blend of alder and maple. I get it though, it's a bit atypical.

I'm kind of surprised this hasn't sold yet... But not really. People seem to fear the unknown "cherry top? This mount sound red" LOL

So seeing as how I'm typically not a fan of this style of guitar....
I actually like much about this one.
I like that cherry top, it's very pretty. I like the f-hole. I like how the fret markers are laid out.
But I'm not at all a fan of the bridge or headstock. And strictly from an aesthetic point of view, the tone control looks lost way toward the back of the guitar. I don't offer use the tone control but that one seems too far away...

It's back there a ways but it's in the natural arc of your arm. (aka, pretty much with your arm straight down) so it's not as far back as it feels. The Daylighter that had the 3 way switch there often had the same complaint but most people who use it found it to be very much in the natural sweep of motion.

I don't fear the cherry top, but concur that the last time I saw something shaped like that soundhole, it was alien tentacle porn being screened behind a Black Moth Super Rainbow set ..... :/

As folks are tired of hearing, I don't care for Off-sets. But Doug, you make some of the nicest ones I've ever seen. Out of all of the ready to ship guitars you have available, this is by far the nicest looking one. It's gorgeous regardless of shape. The only thing I don't like about it is my inability to afford it.
