So if an act doesn't help 100% of the people's problems, it failed? It is worth nothing? Gotcha.

I answered this already.
In my response I said that I wasn't speaking in absolutes. That means that I am not saying that it is worth nothing.

I am saying that it is worth a lot to have everyone thinking that they are free. If you don't see that then that's fine because all of the wealthy say "gotcha" every time they hear someone say "the land of the free" or articulate anything that conveys such. Then they nod and say "gotcha" again when people say " love it or leave it".

Who are "they"? Are these wealthy organized, do they meet or have a secret society? are they illuminati?

Then you do a very shitty job of explaining your point.

You asked what the marches accomplished and I told you. You said that didn't help the guy who got shot with his hands up. I would argue that up until the point where the guy got shot, those marches did help him. I bet if you ask any African American if they would like to go back to the pre-1965 America they would laugh in your face. Did those marches solve every possible problem in the world, no they didn't but they made the world much better than it was before them and the way you are coming across here is belittling to them. Does it mean we should stop and go home because the work is done? Hell no.

They are the same sort of people who were behind The Black Codes.
The same sort of people who were behind the Jim Crow laws.
Then after the Civil Rights Act they just had to be less obvious again.

Their reality is that all of the poor are their slaves.

When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men,
they create for themselves in the course of time
a legal system that authorizes it
and a moral code that glorifies it.

-Frederic Bastiat 'The Law' (1850)

I am not sure if this has been brought up yet, but I am getting sick of Trumpites on Facebook saying "Give him a chance".

How about no, this is a presidency, not a game WTF?

I see stuff like "Obama picked the countries on the ban list" all of the time. I don't follow it up though - it has become TrumpBook.

The young people left about 5 years ago and now it is the place for adults to voice their social commentary.

As I stated a few pages back, this is not the frier at Burger King, not a learn as you go experience.

I can't take that anymore either, he shows no initiative to learn as well. He gets bored by many accounts and watches TV while Bannon puts in 16 hour days. The people didn't vote for Bannon.

Exactly, he seems to take no interest in anything except things that stroke his ego. Least of all being a proper president

what's yer point?
he's always been like that. what the hell did the folks that voted for him think was going to happen? he was suddenly going to become a serious, thinking, rational human? rolleyes1:mad:

The people didn't vote for Bannon.

Are we certain that they didn't? It's been pretty obvious from the get-go that DAS TRUMP has been a heel/carney/shill hawking the ideas of Bannon/Roger Stone/InfoWars/Pepe the Frog/etc. His lack of actual personal ideology and his willingness to say it for the LULZ has been a lot of the appeal. He's an entertaining blank slate that every whack job in the country can pretend shares their beliefs.

He's a BAD HOMBRE. An intellectual lightweight with a stunning gift for gab and kayfabe. That's really how this whole thing compares to the 3rd Reich. These are intellectual and moral backbenchers from the angry swamp of fear and bad ideas who are more than willing to make our worst impulses into reality in exchange for power and fame and popular approval.
