LOL. It ended up storming that day so I didn't do it at all. I have had it with squirrel though. It all blends together so you can't really tell.
My wife's family has this recipe they call Burgoo. It takes all day to make and it makes like 30 gallons that they all split up and freeze. We did one about 10 years ago. Most of the old timers have passed on since then but I brought it up recently and the one main cook was very excited about doing it again. His name is Leroy and I shit you not he looks like Kenny Rogers.
Burgoo is a stew that everything is ground up and cooked together. Chicken, beef, pork, turkey, corn, beans, carrots, peppers, onions and god knows what else is in there. We cook it in this massive kettle over an open fire and it has to be stirred constantly for like 8 hours. It is SO GOOD.
