T.R. what kind of gear are you using?

i'm using a Sony Alpha and a Sigma 18-250 lens, with filters when needed.

Currently a Canon 7D, various lenses.

The second-to-last photo with the fall colors is an older shot taken with my 35mm rig, and later scanned.

a lot of my stuff tends to be more in the macro/close up style. mostly cuz out here in NW Ohio....there's not a lot of "landscape" to shoot.
here's one from an ice storm a few years ago.

Sweet. Yeah I like the macros you posted earlier quite a bit too.

That kind of shooting is something I'd like to delve into more but haven't gotten around to yet. I did catch a bug war on my tomato plants a couple of years ago:

Great photos, TR! These assassin bugs (orange/black) kick ass on other bugs.

Macros are really cool. Here is a picture of a fly that was about the size of a grain of rice.

And a few other shots from when I was playing with the lens.

I love bug photos!

From the cicada invasion a few years ago. Flash + macro = lots of trial and error

jax.....i'm not sure those are "assasin bugs"....but they ARE milk weed bugs. we have them here in late summer and they feed on the milk weed pods.

here's one of my dragon fly pics.....i'm a big fan of dragon flies and damsil flies.
