Mental health check-in

Chat with my union didn't quite go as expected today and, after 2 months of being a good boy, letting the process take place, keeping quiet and professional etc. while this unfolded I feel like the rug has well and truly been pulled from under me

I'm formally cleared in writing (save a few things I want tidied up) but when I queried what I could do about her, bearing in mind I've essentially had to be passive in this whole thing while she's made a vexatious allegation, refused to engage with any formal HR process then walked the allegation right back the answer apparently is not very much.

According to my rep it'll be very hard to prove that the initial allegation (which could have been career ending if true!) caused me any reputational damage because (get this) anyone that knows me, my ethics and how I conduct myself at work would clearly know it's not something I would do, intentionally or accidentally

So for being a decent, moral person I've no recourse against this rat who has made up a massive lie, reported it to both my managers separately months apart, changed her story several times and got away with it.

I don't even know where to start with this but it's wrong on so many levels.
Well, karma is a bitch, so she'll eventually discover that the dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed.

It’s time to write, produce, and star in a one man play about this. Take it all the way to the West End.

Yeah she will get hers eventually.

There's 1 or 2 things I might be able to do but nothing that will have any real recourse against her which is disgusting and dangerous.

Anyway, I finished the week doing some real work to help a very vulnerable child be safer so I'm feeling good about life.

Well, this is odd. I have been digging a trench to reroute my sump pump drain. I was digging a hole at the end of the trench for a catch basin and dug into a phone wire which was not marked by the utility company. It looks like the wire goes somewhere other than my house, but none of my neighbors on that side have land lines so they can't test.

I'm a bit torn here. I hate to just bury the broken line - it might be an issue for someone in the future. On the other hand, I really don't want to call the phone company and potentially open a can of worms. The conundrum has cast kind of a pall on the whole project and I'm losing motivation.

I dunno man, I've dealt with my share of unmarked crap around the property, more often than not it was something that got either bypassed or fixed another way. I'd probably just bury it and call it a day, but broken stuff around here doesn't generally affect other folks.
