The results only ended up that way because the study was done in London. There were a bunch of Americans there who couldn't figure out if you were supposed to walk on the right or left side and it mucked everything up :grin:
you should walk on the same side that you would drive on. 50 million americans need to learn that in grocery stores. :mad:

I never knew escalators had a passing lane.
 
I don't get climbing the escalator; if you want to walk, take the freaking stairs. :rolleyes:

FWIW, I always stay to the right on escalators and those "walking sidewalk" things at the airport. You don't mess with type "A"s. :grin:
 
You must have never stood still on the left side of the escalator getting on the DC metro during rush hour. You would have ended up the hospital for weeks :grin:

Ummm, yeah, none of the above.

Most escalators I see are 'one butt' types.
