kind of along those lines.....sort of.....
when i was in highschool, like on a saturday, and i'm waiting for a friend to call back and figure out where to meet, hang out , etc.
i would be waiting, not BY the phone, but in the next room or something.
my dad would sneek into the kitchen, where there was another phone, and when it would ring he'd quickly pick it up and say (in very deep voice) PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE!!
of course my friend would hang up immediately and i wouldn't hear from them for the rest of the weekend
