Effect can be used as a verb, as in to effect change. It means to initiate.One is a noun and one is a verb. Once you realize that, it's pretty easy to distinguish how and when to use them. I guess they're just handing out PhDs nowadays.

Fair enough, but that is much less common. In fact, that is probably only case where "effect" would be used as a verb, and if you wrote "affect" instead, most folks would not notice the difference. No he doesn't. The craft beer was all that was left at the end of the night. While we were setting up he said "You'll be happy Tony... they have all kinds of your weird beer."
He and the drummer prefer Busch light and Bud Light.
Throughout the event I had a good variety... Bells Two Hearted, VooDoo Ranger hazy, and half of a Modello before it got spilled
