I immediately got @bsman 's reference... not that I was aware of it in the 70's... but when I was in college at Indiana University Bloomington, there was dorm legend (don't know if this was true or not) that Jim Jones went there for a while.... and the guy that had the room that allegedly was Jones's room would throw "Kool Aid" parties, typically different flavors of Kool Aid with Everclear in it.
